From Ken Onion, one of the world's premier knife designers, comes a knife we consider to be one of the world's premier knives. The 8-inch Damascus blade is forged of VG-10 stainless steel so it resists corrosion and rust while maintaining its sharp edge for years and years. The blade design features a large tip, a curved cutting edge, and a generous surface area so you can easily and effectively manage a wide aray of food prep jobs. A particularly nice touch that Onion added is the specially contoured bolster that balances the blade while simultaneously releasing arm tension to smoothe out movement and make sure all actions are as safe as possible. To top it all off, the Pakkawood handle not only resists slippage but is so attractive we found it difficult to keep our hands off it. So the only downside with this knife is you might spend much more time in the kitchen cooking much more than you normally would. Luckily it's a sacrifice we're willing to make.
